PB Products Safety Pack

The PB Products Hit and Run System is specifically designed for use with a mono mainline. Leaders and leaders are being banned on a growing number of waters—both club and commercial fisheries. This is because a knot tied between a thick mono mainline and a leader is often too coarse. If the line breaks, this knot can block the clip, preventing the lead from being released properly. To prevent this, this set offers a safe and effective solution that allows you to continue using the popular Hit and Run Safety System.

Installation is simple. First, slide the included 5mm ring onto your mono main line. Then, attach the lead clip and tail rubber as usual. Where a leader's loop normally slides over the clip, you now tie your main line directly to the ring. This ring replaces the loop and ensures that the clip releases smoothly in the event of a line break. Slide the ring over the clip, and you have an optimally functioning and fish-safe safety system. For extra fish protection, you can even use anti-tangle tubing or tungsten versions.
