Korda Tournament Casting Swivel Lead

This lead was originally called the Distance Casting but had to be adjusted when long distance pitcher Alan Partridge convinced me that his lead went much further. Its lead is more like the shape of the Arseley Bomb and is widely used today. The old Zip Lead disappeared from the scene for a few years until I started fishing with Frank Warwick. He still really liked the old Zip lead shape and asked if we wouldn't make another pair for him.

This was no problem. Before long, the phone was red hot. Frank had told others about this lead and they wanted them too. In the meantime we sponsored the British Angling Championships Casting Competition. During a visit, several participants mentioned that their Zip leads threw even further than those made by us. It also seemed logical. The shape was slightly different, so there was a greater weight in the front. This made them much more stable in the air than our old Zip leads.

After thorough research, we decided to improve our Zip leads and took advantage of the properties of competition leads. The 4.5oz and 5oz came first at Frank Warwick's request. He was enthusiastic about it and nowadays the weight range of Tournament Casting Swivel is between 1.5oz and 5oz.

As the name suggests, this is the lead you should use if you want to throw really far. Whether it's a 2oz or 5oz weight, you'll always get further than any other lead. Use this lead in combination with the Korda Lead Clip system, the new Korda Run Rig system, or the helicopter rig for maximum distance.
