Korda Pear Swivel Lead

With the classic Pear lead you can throw very far. Not as far as with a Distance Casting lead, but still very far. Due to its specific shape, it is less sensitive to crosswinds and can be used in waters with a somewhat softer bottom structure. Due to the shape, the lead will sink deeper into the soft bottom and settle, as it were. This is the reason for the great popularity of this lead. Try gently pulling out a 1oz or 2oz lead that has sunk into the soft bottom. The force you need for this is much greater than the weight of the lead in question. Because the lead is pear-shaped, you also feel much better on what type of bottom you are fishing.
