Korda we thought, we should investigate this. Getting the sharpest hooks became a big project. Despite working very hard on this project, it took us three years to get everything perfect for the production of the Kamakura.

The Kamakura hooks are sharpened to a very high tolerance after production. We produce hooks with extremely sharp points that you cannot match by hand. When you open the box, two things stand out. The first is the consistency of the product. Each hook has the same ridiculous sharpness and is ready to use. Because consistency is key, we pride ourselves on making every tip look exactly the same. The second is a waxy coating on the tip of the hook. Thanks to this unique way of covering the tip, we make sure they stay in the best possible condition until you want to use them. Just before casting, rub the wax off with your fingers and you'll be fishing with the sharpest hook imaginable.

The Kamakura range will coexist with the original range of hooks. From now on, the Kamakura hooks will be available in the Krank and Widegape models. They are available in sizes 4, 6 and 8, both barbed and barbless. In 2019 the Choddy and Kurv Shank hooks will follow.
