With the Txi-D and Rx-D, Delkim is stepping into a new generation of bite alarms. And these aren't just compact variations on their previous model. No… They've made bigger improvements in a completely new digital system. The bite alarms have really been completely redesigned and have a new look and improved weather proofing to start with. When you see the new Delkim, you immediately notice how compact it is and that the old on/off switch has been replaced by two subtle push buttons. With this you can not only switch on the Txi-D, but also use various new functions in the menu of the digital system. In addition to the push buttons, there are two wheels with which you can adjust the Volume and Response of the Txi-D. Here you can increase or decrease the response of the bite alarm to movement of the line. It largely resembles the previous Delkim bite alarms and their Sensitivity. But thanks to the new digital system, they have now been able to make major improvements. There is now also the possibility to set the Beep Speed. While you use Response to set how much movement or activity there must be before you hear a beep, you can use Beep Speed to set how quickly the beeps follow each other. With the previous models you already had a lot of room to vary the sensitivity. But in the plus setting of the switch and the higher Sensitivity values you soon had that a short tap on the line gave the Delkim a whole series of beeps. Throughout this series of squeaks it could sometimes be difficult to tell the difference between a short tap, line swimmer or careful take. You knew, of course, that something was up. But you didn't get exactly the information you needed. By disconnecting the Beep Speed from the sensitivity, you can now adjust your setting entirely to your own liking in order to get even more out of the unique vibration system. For example, you can make the bite alarm sensitive with a low Beep Speed to get an indication quickly, but not to immediately let the bite alarm "run away". But you can also play with the settings in the other direction to ensure that even currents, floating dirt, wind, waves and the like have as little influence as possible on your indication. The new Txi-D bite alarms also include the ability to adjust the LED brightness, use both a day and night mode and vary with 64 different pitches. And a patented IMU Security Movement Sensor has now also been incorporated into the Delkim. This motion sensor works together with the anti-theft system in the Rx-D and will give you a signal if your set-up is moved inadvertently. Of course, not only the bite alarms have been improved. The new Rx-D receiver also now works fully digitally and provides better range, battery life and performance. And if that weren't enough, some nice features have also been added to the compact receiver. One of the new features is DND. This abbreviation stands for Do Not Disturb and is for those situations where you want to silence the receiver for a while. Imagine that suddenly a strong wind starts blowing or it starts to rain very hard. Normally this means that you will receive non-stop false beeps from the bite alarm. Enabling DND without leaving your bivvy will put an end to this. Only if an indication lasts 4 seconds or longer will the receiver come to life and inform you about a bite. Another handy feature that you can turn on as desired is Runlight. This will also respond after 4 seconds and does this by making all LEDs in the receiver light up brightly. This gives you enough light in the middle of the night when you take a bite to grab your essentials and storm to the rod. The greatly improved range of the receiver can now be set in 3 different positions. By default, the bite alarm is set to the mode that has been tested in practice with a direct line of sight up to a distance of more than 700 meters. Although we do of course recommend not to go that far from your rods. The range can of course depend on the prevailing conditions at your swim. But with the strong improvements that have been made here, you can fully rely on getting a good indication. If you need to move a little further from your rods for an emergency, there is also the Boost position. With this you can increase the range another 15 to 20%. However, due to the higher battery consumption, this mode will switch off after 15 minutes. For use in a normal situation where you are right behind the rods there is also a Short Range option. This normally has a range of up to 50 meters and will extend the battery life. Both the Txi-D and Rx-D come with molded hard cases and accessories such as a lanyard and clips to place the receiver on a belt or on, for example, a bankstick. All existing Delkim visual bite indication systems work with the new Txi-D. However, new dedicated D-lok and Safe-D Snag Ears have been developed.
